When you think of Sam Raimi what is the first thing that comes to your mind? Xena: Warrior Princess, Hercules, the Evil Dead trilogy, or the incredibly dreadful Spiderman Trilogy? When I think of Mr. Raimi, or the whole Raimi family for that matter, I will pretend that they never made the Spiderman movies, and I will pretend that everything that they have made was good. The only pure shit movies they have ever made (sorry Ted!) were the Spiderman movies and Drag Me To Hell. After taking that into consideration I ventured forth into the movie theater this weekend to ‘peep the new flick’ The Possession. At first I was extremely turned off by the fact of the horrible disgusting clientele at this movie theater. I must say I could NOT get sucked into the movie because of the little asses that were in front of us. That all put aside the movie was EXTREMELY intense, and was very well put together. With an all star cast lead by James Dean Morgan (father of Sam and Dean Winchester on the hit TV show Supernatural) I new that we were going to be in for a treat! The Possession had you from the first second of the film by panning in on an elderly lady staring at a box that you knew had something wrong with it. James Dean Morgan’s daughter had her heart set on the box the second that she saw it, which is where everyone at the same exact time in the theater *gasped* and that is when I was ‘sucked in’ to the movie. I give this movie 4.5 eyeballs out of 5!
